Kitami Bonchi Festival
Outline |
During this summer festival you can see the people of Kitami enjoying various activities while wearing yukatas (informal cotton kimonos) and walking downtown. You can also watch the “Buyo Parade” (the dancing parade) and the “Tonden Otsunahiki” young men wearing loincloths competing in a 200 meters long tug-of-war. On the last day of the festival, you can see a fireworks display by the Tokoro River. |
