This was the residence of the Pierson’s: a husband and wife, who were devoted to preaching Christianity in the Kitami area. The building has been designated as a Hokkaido Heritage Site. Items left by the couple are on the first floor and information about Kitami’s sister city (Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A.) are displayed on the second floor.
